Published
March 15, 2024

The City Spotlight is designed to analyze the distribution of trends and identify standout features at the capital city level.

Paris Fashion Week presented an unprecedented 108 shows and presentations, with designers delving into themes of intimacy, realism, and the significance of everyday experiences. As the fashion month comes to a close, Heuritech concludes its analysis by examining the evolution of key trends compared to last year and their potential for widespread adoption.

SKY BLUE

Sky Blue made a notable appearance in 3% of the looks at Paris Fashion Week, primarily adorning knits, muslin, suede, and sequins, especially in dresses and outerwear for a refreshing touch.

Despite a slight forecasted decrease in visibility, its wide adoption on social media across age groups from 16 to 45 suggests it remains a steady choice for upcoming collections, appealing to edgy, trendy and mainstream profiles.

SATIN

Satin has been steadily gaining popularity since the post-COVID era, reflecting a resurgence of elegance and sophisticated silhouettes in fashion trends.

Forecasts indicate a continued growth
trajectory with a +3% increase for Fall 24, while its visibility on the catwalks remains relatively stable, experiencing only a slight decrease of -0.5 points across analyzed looks.

STRIPES

Stripes, whether adorning tailoring silhouettes or adding playfulness to looks as seen at Rochas, Kiko Kostadinov, or Off-White, were present in 4% of Parisian shows. Projections indicate a rise in both visibility and desirability, with a forecasted 7% increase for next fall.

Vertical and horizontal stripes are both experiencing growth, with vertical stripes leading the trend with a +6% increase, classified as a “Rising Star” according to our data.
