Fabric Trends for Jacketing - Spring/Summer 2019 (ItaltexTrends)

The jacket is the best expression of the young, sports style of Spring/Summer 2019.

Often in plain and fake plain constructions, it is made in the most different materials: linen, cotton, wool, as well as viscose, polyester and polyamide.
Linen is a key fiber either pure or combined with cotton or wool; wool/cotton is another important mixture of the season.

The sports look of the jacket is heightened with twist and mixture color yarns. The use of more fancy yarns such as knop, slub, frise’ and loopy qualities as ground and decoration allows getting new fabrics particularly suitable for jackets.

Overchecks and checks are also important, either classic or tiny, with weave effects and fancy yarns,

while minute effects are usually enriched with slub and twist yarns.

Crinkled grounds are another interesting way to create a sports effect.

The same is also true for rustic qualities with slub yarns

and for airy grounds.

As far as the blazer is concerned, it is in wool, with subdued checks.

The color palette includes medium greys, slate blue and navy blue in lively shades. Important is the range of greens, from bluish to olive.
In the light color group we find pale yellow and neutral hint beige. The browns go as far as dark purple cast brown. Reddish shades, burgundy and violet red complete the range.
