Artificial intelligence-driven pattern design tool start-up Myth.AI has secured €1.2 million (£1.03 million) in funding “to help drive operations and explore new markets”.

Founded in Turkey, now-London-based Myth.AI launched earlier in the year and will use the funding to expand operations domestically, as well as target new markets, such as Asia and the US next year, reported EU Start-ups.

Originally created to help the company’s founder and CEO Özgecan Üstgül’s high-end fashion line Women & Women, it now offers “a generative AI solution that uses visual or text prompts to streamline the design of new and unique patterns for brands across Europe”.

It claims the technology "drastically reduces the time it takes to create bespoke designs, along with helping to create a more sustainable design and production process through reducing the need for swatch samples, which ultimately end up in landfill”.

Üstgül said: “This significant investment round marks a pivotal moment in our journey beyond textile and interior pattern tech and both my team and investors are excited to see how this innovation will help across new markets.”

She said Myth.AI is already being used across Europe in the textile design industry and includes brands such as Ratti (Italy), Telater (Spain), Sun Textile, Elyaf Textile, Gama Textile, Zorlu Textile, and Halmer Fabric (Turkey).

The fresh backers include the founders of Turkish textiles firm Faik Ulutas.
