Success in driving Northern European operations for Pandora has seen Sonia Lopez Delgado move to head the jewellery giant’s important UK ops (BRIS) as the region’s general manager.

She’s set to replace Rasmus Brix, who’s been promoted to senior vice-president of global commercial operations at the company’s headquarters in Copenhagen, Denmark. Both take up their new roles on 1 July.

Pandora CEO Alexander Lacik said: “Having built a very strong team in our Northern Europe cluster and driving impressive brand momentum in Germany, I’m certain that with Sonia to spearhead our efforts in BRIS, we’ll continue to drive strong brand momentum, give many more customers a world-class experience, and build our reputation as a full jewellery brand.”

Delgado joined Pandora in 2018 country manager in Spain and has previously held senior positions across The Body Shop, LVMH Fragrances Brands and El Corte Inglés.

In January, Pandora reported a “strong” Christmas trading period with wider sales during the key Golden Quarter period beating expectations with like-for-like revenues up 9% and total sales rising to £1.2 billion.

The UK is an important region for the brand and was used to pilot the launch of its lab-grown diamonds as the business began building its reputation as a full jewellery house.
