Skincare brand Susanne Kaufmann names Kerry Evans as managing director
Austrian natural skincare brand Susanne Kaufmann has recently appointed Kerry Evans as managing director. A former global vice-president at Avon, Evans succeeds Jessica Clark, who has taken charge of Pai Skincare, the British brand in which Famille C, the Courtin-Clarins family’s holding company, bought a stake in 2021.

Before her posting at Avon, Evans chiefly worked at US cosmetics group Estée Lauder, notably overseeing the growth and expansion of brands like Jo Malone London, Bobbi Brown Cosmetics and Estée Lauder in South Africa and sub-Saharan Africa. She then took charge of the La Mer brand, and later of MAC Cosmetics in the UK and Ireland.
Evans is based in London, and her mission at Susanne Kaufmann is to grow the brand and increase its market share.
“Kerry Evans has a solid experience in brand development on an international scale, and in marketing, sales, product development and commercial strategy. She is the ideal omni-channel leader to spearhead Susanne Kaufmann’s constant expansion and rapid growth,” said Chris Garek, board chairman at Manzanita Capital, the investment fund that owns Susanne Kaufmann and other beauty brands like Diptyque and Malin+Goetz.
Susanne Kaufmann, who grew up in the forested region of Bregenz in Austria, launched her eponymous brand in 2003, initially as a product line utilised in her Austrian spa-hotel. She joined forces with a cosmetics producer and a dermatologist to build a skincare range featuring natural ingredients and cutting-edge components like hyaluronic acid. The brand did not disclose its revenue results. In France, it is available at beauty retailer Oh My Cream!
